Under this Nishchay, piped water is made available to all the houses located in rural and urban areas of the state. The following schemes are being implemented to make piped water accessible to all the houses: -

- Mukhyamantri Gramin Peyjal (Quality Affected Areas) Nishchay Yojana
- Mukhyamantri Gramin Peyjal (Non-quality Affected Areas) Nishchay Yojana
- Mukhyamantri Shahri Peyjal Nishchay Yojana
Mukhyamantri Gramin Peyjal Nishchay Yojana
- Under the Mukhyamantri Gramin Peyjal Nishchay Yojana households of all the wards of the non-quality affected 4291 Gram Panchayats of the state are being supplied with tap water through pipes.
- This scheme is being implemented by the Panchayati Raj Department.
- The implementation unit of this scheme is the ward. The implementation of the scheme in each ward is being done by the seven-member 'Ward Implementation and Management Committee' headed by the respective ward members of the Gram Panchayat.
- This committee will be constituted through Ward Assembly for two years, it is mainly a committee of beneficiaries and is responsible for implementing, maintaining / securing Mukhyamantri Gramin Peyjal Nishchay Yojana for the Gram Panchayat as per the guidelines of the scheme.
- The scheme has a target to provided tap water through pipes to every household by year 2019-20.
Current Status
- Against target of 58,107 wards till 2019-20, work has been started in 57,995 wards and completed in 57,603 wards and 88.12 lakh households have been covered against target of 88.95 lakh.
Mukhyamantri Gramin Peyjal (Quality Affected Areas) Nishchay Yojana
- Mukhyamantri Gramin Peyjal (Quality Affected Areas) Nishchay Yojana is being implemented by Public Health Engineering Department in the state's 3068 Gram Panchayats where water quality is affected.
- This scheme is being implemented in Panchayats where water is completely affected by Iron, Fluoride and Arsenic.
- Under this scheme, all the families of quality affected habitations of 3068 Gram Panchayats of the State will be supplied with tap water through pipes.
- Each household in all the quality affected wards of these Panchayats have been targeted to provide tap water through pipes by the year 2019-20.
Current Status
- Against target of 30,272 quality affected wards till 2019-20, work has been started in 30,136 wards and completed in 29,335 wards.
Mukhyamantri Gramin Peyjal (Non-quality Affected Areas) Nishchay Yojana
- Mukhyamantri Gramin Peyjal (Non-quality Affected Areas) Nishchay Yojana is being implemented by the Public Health Engineering Department in 1027 Gram Panchayats of the State, where water is not fully affected or partially affected.
- Mukhyamantri Gramin Peyjal (non-quality affected areas) Nishchay Yojana is being implemented in such wards of Gram Panchayats where the quality of water is not affected or where the Public Health Engineering Department is already implementing schemes for supply of drinking water.
- The implementation unit of this scheme is the ward. The implementation of the scheme in each ward is being done by the seven-member 'Ward Implementation and Management Committee' headed by the respective ward members of the Gram Panchayat.
- Under this scheme it is targeted to provide tap water through pipes to every household of all the wards in these panchayats by the year 2019-20.
Current Status
- Against target of 26,272 non-quality affected wards till 2019-20, work has been started in 26,239 wards and completed in 26,088.
Mukhyamantri Shahri Peyjal Nishchay Yojana
- Mukhyamantri Shahri Peyjal Nishchay Yojana is being implemented by Urban Development and Housing Department.
- Under this scheme tap water through pipes would be provided to all families in143 municipal corporations who don’t have access to piped water.
- Based on the survey conducted in the urban areas by the Urban Development and Housing Department, the number of total urban households in the state is 19,08,164, (Government houses are not included).
Current Status
- Against target of 3,370 wards till 2019-20, work has been started in 3,370 wards and completed in 3,008 wards and 14.03 lakh households have been covered against target of 15.85 lakh.
