State Government aims to provide better opportunities of technical and professional skill based education in the State. Under this Nishchay the following institutions are being established:-
- One GNM Institute in every district
- One Para Medical Institute in every district
- One Polytechnic Institute in every district
- One Women Industrial Training Institute in every district
- One Engineering College in every district
- One Nursing College in all medical colleges
- One ANM Institute in every sub-division
- One Government Industrial Training Institute in every sub-division
- Five more new Medical Colleges in the state
One GNM Institute in every district
- 10 GNM Institutes of targeted 38 are operational from before and work had already started in 5 districts (Saran, Buxar, Purnia, West Champaran & Madhepura) of which completed in 4 (West Champaran, Saran, Madhepura & Buxar)
- Land is available in 22 districts in the targeted 23 districts. Tender executed for 22 districts. Construction work is completed in 15 districts, construction work is in progress in 5 districts and to be started in 3 districts.
One Para Medical institute in every district
- Operational in 5 districts against target of 38. In the session of 2020-21 action will be taken to be start session in 4 districts
- Total target of 33 districts of which land acquired in 32 districts. The land provided for the construction of a medical college and hospital in Begusarai does not include land for paramedical institute .
- Construction work completed in 22 districts against the target 33 districts targeted by 2020-21. Construction work in progress in 8 districts and work to be started in 3 districts.
One Polytechnic institute in every district
- Sessions were conducted in 38 districts against the total target of 38.
- Against a target of 38 for building construction, work completed in 34 districts and Construction work is under process in 4 districts.
One Women industrial training institute in every district
- Operational in all targeted 38 districts.
- Against a target of 38 districts for building construction, work completed in 24 districts , Construction work under process in 14 districts.
One Engineering College in every district
- Sessions were conducted in 38 districts against the total target of 38.
- Against a target of 38 for building construction, work completed in 27 districts and Construction work is under process in 11 districts.
One Nursing college in all medical college
- B.S.C Nursing colleges would be constructed in 16 Medical Colleges in a phased manner by year 2020-21.
- Building construction targeted for 16 Nursing College till 2020-21 against which land is available in 13 medical colleges land not available in Madhubani and Begusarai and construction program postponded in Patna medical college and hospital because of re-development.
- Construction work started in 5 against the total target of 16, out of which construction of 4 (Bhagalpur, Pavapuri, Darbhanga and Gaya) completed work under progress in 7 and to be started in 5.
One ANM institute in every sub-division
- Operational in all 47 Sub-Divisions from before against target of 101 Sub-Divisions. Remaining 54 will be made operational in a phased manner by the year 2020-21.
- Land is available in all 54 Sub-Divisions.
- Building construction targeted for 54 Sub-Divisions till 2020-21 against which construction work ongoing in 11 Sub-Divisions, work to be started in 3 Sub-Divisions and completed in 40 Sub-Divisions.
One Government Industrial training institute in every sub-division
- Session operation in all targeted 101 Sub-Divisions.
- Against a target of 101 for building construction, work completed in 66 Sub-Divisions and Construction work is under process in 35 Sub-Divisions.
Five new Medical Colleges in the state
- Action is being taken to start session in 3 districts (Vaishali, Begusarai and Bhojpur) from the year 2023-24. Approval of the creation of posts for conducting the session was received from the Council of Ministers.
- Work started in Mahua (Vaishali) and tender for construction in Begusarai district is under process. Land marked for construction of medical college at Bhojpur (Ara).
- Construction of medical colleges in 2 districts- Madhubani and Sitamarhi is now to be done under a central government sponsored scheme.
